AI Features and Third-Party Data Processing
PALNION uses artificial intelligence to power voice transcription, writing assistance, translation, mood analysis, and the AI companion. When you use these features, the text or audio you provide is sent to OpenAI (openai.com) for processing.
What data is sent to OpenAI:
- Voice recordings (transcribed to text via OpenAI Whisper)
- Text messages and notes you ask the AI to process
- Conversation history used to maintain AI response context
How OpenAI uses this data: OpenAI processes your input solely to generate a response. As of the date of this policy, OpenAI does not use API data to train its models. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy for details.
You will be asked for your permission before AI features are enabled. You may decline and continue using PALNION's non-AI features (notes, habits, mood tracking) without sending any data to OpenAI.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- OpenAI (openai.com): AI text processing and voice transcription. Data sent: user text and audio inputs. Purpose: generate AI responses and transcriptions.
- Supabase: Secure cloud storage and authentication
- Apple: Payment processing via the App Store
- Expo: App infrastructure and analytics
